Digital Marketing & Business Development Internship

Spring/Summer 2015

Are you the creative type who loves to keep things organized, has great communication skills and an entrepreneurial spirit? Then you’re the ideal candidate to become the next ingenious intern at Aveya Creative, DC’s first boutique branding and marketing agency dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurs.

You are:
- Currently studying Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar focus at a university in the Washington DC metro area
- Passionate about entrepreneurship
- Excited about working at a startup and working with startups
- At ease using Google Drive (notably Docs and Sheets)
- Social media savvy
- Persistent, organized and detail-oriented
- A witty writer who is comfortable with space constraints (i.e. 140 characters)
- Self-managing (working remotely has its perks, but it’s essential to stay focused and productive)
- Available for bi-weekly meetings on weekdays between 11am and 2pm
- Ready to commit 10-15 hours per week to this role (not all hours will be spent behind a screen; attending fun startup events are part of the package)
- Happy to be rewarded in shout-outs, hi-five's and coffee (read: this is an unpaid internship)

Your typical activities will include:
- Attending entrepreneur events in DC to network with prospective contacts (usually around 6pm on weekdays)
- Social media engagement w/ startup community
- Helping with newsletter creation and distribution via MailChimp
- Helping with planning, logistics and promotion for annual BrandNew event
- Research events and organizations where Aveya can sponsor events, partner with initiatives
- Helping with outreach to accelerators and incubators nationwide to offer non-exclusive partnership benefits to their cohort participants
- Participating in idea generation and strategy sessions for new ways to move the agency forward

You'll walk away with:
